John "JT" Thornton Founder and Principal
As founder and Principal of Thornton & Associates, LLC, John T. Thornton offers over 20 years of construction and real estate development experience. Areas of responsibility include all aspects of the investment process, from site selection and asset acquisition, construction management, financing, lease-up and disposition.
He started his career in 1986 with a design build construction firm, The Haskell Company. There he served as Project Manager and continued his construction career through 1993 with two other construction companies, Elkins Constructors and Schultz Angelo Group.
From 1993 to 2008, John formed Skyline reality Services, Inc, a Development, Construction and Management Company with emphasis on office and retail development.
- Developed, owned and managed approximately 420,000 square feet of office space
- Developed, owned and managed approximately 50,000 square feet of retail properties.
Credentials:
- University of North Florida with a degree in Building Construction
- Licensed Florida Contractor.
